The Teacher Education specializations develop Elementary or Secondary teachers who, as an integral part of the school community, facilitate the development of students who are secure and productive citizens in a changing society. The new Masters of Arts in Education/Teacher Education Programs for elementary and secondary teacher certification are 33-credit Master’s Degree (MAED) programs, leading to Arizona teacher licensure. The program recognizes and addresses the developmental process of teaching and learning in a diverse society. Due to current regional policies, the Teacher Education specializations are not available to residents in Canada and the U.S. states Delaware, Indiana, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and Arkansas.
