The Internet explosion has led to the creation of a new career path: the web designer. Web designers are the people responsible for developing and maintaining World Wide Web (WWW) sites for public and private organizations. The Associate of Applied Science - Web Design program offered by Baker College Online includes courses in marketing and computer information systems, as well as the skills needed to develop and maintain web pages. Some core course include: Visual BASIC, Introduction to Programming, Introduction to Graphic Imaging, World Wide Web Design, Interactive Web Design, and Internet Commerce.
