The Bachelor of Science in Multimedia & Web Design prepares graduates for entry-level positions leading to careers such as multimedia producer, multimedia scriptwriter, computer-based training designer, web designer, and web script language developer. The program provides a foundation of design skills with an emphasis on interactive design while also preparing students to use the tools necessary to create interactive content. Multimedia & Web Design Program Bachelor's degree graduates should expect to be prepared to apply for entry-level employment as multimedia scriptwriters, multimedia production assistants, web designers, web site developers, and web script language developers, and may also become employed as multimedia producers and computer based training designers.

The Art Institute Online is a division of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, which is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). ACICS is a national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

The prospective student must be a high school graduate with a high school GPA of 2.0, or hold a General Education Development (GED) Certificate with a score of 225 or higher, or a bachelor's degree or higher as a prerequisite for admission.
