DeVry Inc. has announced the appointment of Brian Porter as the Campus Dean for the recently created DeVry College of New York. The new entity came about as a result of the recent merger of DeVry Institute of Technology and Keller Graduate School of Management in New York.
As the new campus dean, Porter will be responsible for oversight of admissions, academics, career services, and student finance for the new school with sites in Long Island and Manhattan. Porter previously served as a Senior Center Dean for four DeVry University locations in the Pennsylvania metro area. One of his sites, the DeVry University Center City Center, produced record increases in graduate student population.
Prior to joining DeVry, Porter held leadership position at both the University of Phoenix and ForeFront Education. Porter also served in the United States Navy as a Master Chief Fire Control Technician.
DeVry College of New York currently offers an Associate in Applied Science, (A.A.S.) option, a Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) degree program, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree, along with master's degree programs in accounting and financial management, information systems management, and business administration (MBA).
