Walden Offering Masters of Information Systems Management

Walden University has added yet another masters level degree option to its lengthy list of graduate level offerings. The new program enables students interested in gaining further skills in the Information Technology sector to an earn a Master of Information Systems Management degree.

The program has been created to address the urgent demand for professionals in the growing global information services and systems arena. The new Master of Information Systems Management program mixes a strong managerial component with both the technical and business skills necessary to handle the development and the delivery of information-based technological solutions.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Information technology is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the U.S. economy. The number of systems analyst positions is expected to grow 29% by 2016 while the number of computer scientists and database administrators is expected to grow about 37% over the same period.

In addition, by 2016 the Bureau indicates that the number of network and computer systems administrators will grow about 27% while the number of computer and information systems managers is expected to increase about 16%.
