DeVry University has announced yet another an impressive increase in enrollment for the 2007 fall 2007 semester. The global provider of educational services recorded a 10.7% increase over the fall of 2006 in new undergraduate student enrollment numbers as well as a 10.3% increase in total undergraduate enrollments over the fall of 2006.
For DeVry it was the ninth consecutive increase in undergraduate new student growth and the sixth consecutive increase in total student enrollment growth. The 2007 increase pushed undergraduate student enrollment worldwide to 44,594 students.
At DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management (KGSM), the increase was even greater. For the 2007 November session, enrollment figures had grown from 13,920 a year ago to 15,657 for 2007, a 12.5% increase. For online undergraduate and graduate students the November 2007 session revealed an extraordinary 28% increase.
Daniel Hamburger, president and chief executive officer of DeVry Inc, stated, "These results were driven by improvements made to our recruiting processes, strong demand for online programs, and a heightened focus on the retention of existing students. We're making progress in attracting recent high school graduates and we believe much of the opportunity still lies ahead.
Financials for the company's fiscal 2008 second quarter will be announced in late January.
