Avaya, a global leader in the business communication field, has been selected by DeVry University as the tool to teach VoIP to enrolled students. DeVry will utilize the Avaya IP Office software platform to teach Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in network and communications management.
The two companies are both considered leaders in their respective industries: DeVry University for offering career-oriented undergraduate and graduate degree programs in technology, business and management for students and Avaya IP Office for being a cost-effective, secure converged voice and data communications system.
Specifically designed for small and mid- sized companies, IP Office features conferencing applications, messaging options, small community networking, and desktop communications. All of the IP Office applications can be managed remotely.
DeVry was seeking an industry leader in the VoIP field to use when teaching students the necessary skills to compete in the VoIP arena. Avaya's IP Office platform was particularly consistent with DeVry philosophy as both students and faculty will be able to access the software whether they're in the classroom or online.
