Career Education Corp. has announced the departure of Keith K. Ogata from the company's board of directors. Ogata will complete his service on December 3rd, 2007.
Ogata has been on the board of Career Education since 1998. He currently serves as the chair of the audit committee and is a member of the compliance subcommittee.
Ogata offered up many positive comments regarding his chance to serve Career Corp. Said Ogata, "My tenure at Career Education has been exciting and rewarding. This was a difficult decision for me but necessary due to increasing time commitments associated with new business interests and activities."
The board announced that audit committee member Dennis Chookaszian will serve as the new chair of the audit committee while Tom Lally will take the vacated position on the audit committee.
Career Education Corporation currently serves approximately 90,000 students across the world in a variety of career-oriented disciplines. The company owns more than 75 campuses in the U.S., Canada, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
