A highly regarded survey by the Noel-Levitz company gave American Intercontinental University Online excellent marks for meeting student expectations. According to the "Priorities Survey for Online Learners (PSOL)" AIU beat the benchmark standards for student satisfaction in every service-related category.
The survey tabulated responses from 57,250 students from 93 online institutions. The areas surveyed included faculty responsiveness, advisor accessibility, the quality of technical support, the quality of instructional materials, the availability of financial aid, and the quality of library resources.
The established benchmarks provide each school a barometer as to how it stacks up against others in the field. In addition, the ratings provide students an evaluative tool for determining which school to select.
Among the many highlights for AIU included a 91% positive student response to the question of did their college experience meet or exceed their expectations and an 85% positive response to the question, if the student had the chance to start all over again would they pick AIU as their school.
AIU was 12% above the national average in regards to the statement the college experience was "much better than expected" (33% AIU versus 21% nationally) and 11% above the national average with students stating they were very satisfied with their experience (44% at AIU, 33% nationally).
