DeVry University may be primarily known for being in the education business, but if last weekend is any indication, the company also knows how to move a campus amid a very tight deadline.
DeVry relocated its Denver campus over the span of a single weekend, moving the school to a new site six miles away from its prior location on Niagara Street in Southern Denver. The new location, in Greenwood Village across from the Coors Amphitheatre in the Denver Tech Center area, was up and running in time for students to attend regularly scheduled classes on Monday night.
With campuses in Westminster and Colorado Springs, Colorado, DeVry initiated the move to provide better access for its on campus students. The new, upgraded site, just off of Interstate 25, is designed for an equivalent student population of 500.
DeVry, founded in 1931 in Chicago by Dr. Herman DeVry, celebrated its 75 anniversary at the school's Fremont campus in late April. The Denver campus offers an Associates degree program in network systems administration and Bachelors degree programs in biomedical engineering technology, business administration, and a variety of technology information areas.
